Flotation

Various minerals like potash (KCl), silica, phosphates, etc., can be purified after  mining by a direct or a reverse flotation process.

Direct flotation helps extract the mineral itself which may be contained in small amounts in rinse water for example. Reverse flotation helps extract undesirable impurities present in the ore.

Cationic and anionic surfactants are choice products for this type of process as they react selectively with silica, carbonates, potash, etc., while making them incompatible in the aqueous medium so that they may eventually be suitably separated.

CECA makes its comprehensive know-how in surfactant formulations for flotation readily available to its customers with its CATAFLOT®, NORAM ® and BEYCOSTAT® product ranges.

Looking for effective flotation collectors ? Then look no further and try out CECA’s cationic and anionic surfactants !
