Once the aggregate has been selected, we normally use bitumen, preferably asphalt-based, with a 70 / 100 penetrability. Paraffin-based bitumens can also be used, although cohesion build-up is slower. CECA offers a range of additives to speed up the process, allowing the road to be reopened to traffic much sooner (Stabiram CM 7).
BITUMEN 70/100 : 600 kg
POLYRAM L80 : 8 kg
HCl (d=1.16 at 32%) : ~ 8 kg for aqueous phase pH = 2.0
WATER up to 1000 kg
The emulsion should be cooled down post production to minimise its reactivity with the materials.
