Aggregate Bitumen Emulsions

Effective coating technique for low to medium traffic highways

The aggregate bitumen emulsion is a coating technique whereby the chippings are coated to a greater or lesser degee in a binder-rich mortar, produced by dispersing a cationic 60 or 65% emulsion of C60 B 5 type road bitumen in a 0/6, 0/10, 0/14 or even 0/20 continuous aggregate range, whose water content has been adjusted to control reactivity and homogeneity. 160/200 or 70/100 bitumen is used, with a residual binder content ranging from 3.7 to 4.8 %.
